Octave, by dividing them by 2, and arranging the results in order of magnitude, we have eleven notes
foreign to the scale of C Major, the positions of which, with reference to the notes of that scale, are as follows:—
107. If it is desired to be able to play in the Miliar mode of each of the seven keys, as well as in the Major, additional notes will be called for. Each scale must contain three Minor intervals, viz. Minor Third, Minor Sixth, and Minor Seventh. The following subsidiary table exhibits the vibration-numbers of the sounds forming these intervals with the successive key-notes.
